William Peace University, located in Raleigh, North Carolina, seeks applicants for a part-time, 32 hour per week (.80 FTE), Coordinator of Counseling Services; the majority of duties reside within the academic year. The Coordinator of Counseling Services emphasizes direct service delivery to WPU students and outreach and consultation to the WPU campus community. The position reports to the Director of Health Services. Counseling Services works closely and in concert with Student Health Services providing mental health service on campus, and offers a range of clinical services, crisis intervention/consultation, training and consultation to faculty and staff.
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
- A Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work or related field
- At least 3-5 years or more clinical experience
- Experience or training in time - limited modalities
- Experience or training in at least two of the following: anxiety and supervision, substance abuse, group counseling, multi- cultural counseling, or eating disorders
- Previous experience in a position that required strong organizational, interpersonal, communication skills and computer literacy
- Master's degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work or related field; Doctorate a plus
- Experience in a university counseling center preferred
- Previous experience in a position requiring knowledge of psychological and developmental needs of college population
