Oftentimes we hear horror stories of clients who are seeking advice about our areas who have been ?assigned? an agent by their employer?s relocation company.? Those relocation companies take a hefty ?referral? fee from the agents who assist relocation clients, therefore most established, experienced agents refuse to work with these relocation companies.? However, newer agents will work with them, as we all did, to build our clientele.? Some are good, some have little or no experience.

I recently had such a complaint from a client who was seeking an agent with local knowledge and chose to waive their employer?s relocation package?a single move was more important to them and they felt that they were being directed in the wrong direction with the relocation agent that they had been assigned. Those relocation clients benefited by using their own agent by?

• Saving thousands of dollars using an experienced agent who is a strong negotiator
• Saving a potential of thousands of dollars in repair negotiations
• Guiding them in the right direction for their home purchased based upon years of experience in listening to clients? needs
